In 1973, Suntory created a distillery in Hakushu, where Suntory developed a wide variety of malt whiskeys. Hibiki, meaning harmony, is a carefully selected blend of more than ten malt and grain whiskeys. Hibiki ages in five different types of casks from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries. Complex, detailed, and long on the finish, Hibiki can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, blended with water, or mixed in a cocktail. The bottle itself is a masterpiece, with twenty-four faces, reflecting each of the seasons of the old Japanese Lunar calendar.
