Veja Esplar Leather Black Pierre
Being almost as popular as Veja's cult V-10 style, Veja named their Esplar sneakers after the ethical organization that helps craft each pair. Veja's Esplar Leather Black Pierre smooth leather design is embroidered with the label's logo and has soles made from rubber that's sustainably hand-harvested in the Amazon forests. The black color makes them easy to wear with everything.
Veja launched Esplar trainers in 2011 and named them after the Brazilian NGO, which brings technical support to the organic cotton farming families Veja works with in North Brazil since 2004.
The style comes up a little large. If you are between two sizes, it is better to take a size down.
- Upper in low-chrome leather.
- Lining in organic cotton.
- Inner Sole in recycled cotton and expanded rubber.
- Sole made of wild rubber from the Amazonian rubber.
- Made in Brazil.
Fabric and leathers
The cotton used is organic, cultivated without chemicals or pesticides. The soles of Veja trainers are made from wild rubber from the Amazonian Rainforest. The leather used is vegetable-tanned with acacia extracts, a natural tanning.
