The world of noise-canceling headphones is changing the way we know it with the news that Bose has an all-new model, dubbed the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 to replace the Quiet Comfort 35 II model. Bose 700, in reality, look nothing like the existing QC35 II, and aren’t really going to replace those more affordable headphones. With this move, Bose is flagging its intention to go up in price, features, and, quality. Besides the new Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, the company is also revealing true wireless Bose Earbuds 500, which we can be expected in late 2019, to be followed by Bose Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700 in 2020.
As far as features are concerned the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 looks more futuristic than that of the QC35 II. They have a USB-C port, which was delayed from Bose, and Bose alleges 20 hours of “full-featured” playback. Last but not least Bose is ready proud of making the voice assistants a significant feature of the Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, insisting that “you will be able to remain seamlessly connected to your phone without looking at it or even touching it.” All of your assistants, Google Assistant, Alexa, and Siri, will be all ready to answer your call.
Bose also considers that their latest model has the world’s best microphone system ever built into a pair of headphones. There are four microphones, and the company is bragging about their noise-canceling and voice isolation capabilities. There is also a new Bose Augmented Reality (AR) platform, which will serve as audio augmented reality kit. The examples given by Bose are great: you look at landmarks around you while wearing your Bose headphones, and compatible apps will tell you about them, or you’ll get context-specific directions like, “Turn left at the McDonald’s.”
The noise-canceling in the headphones themselves is now adjustable, with 11 different intensity settings.
Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700, in a choice of black or white, will be soon available to order.
